FBC-Abbeville Celebrates 175 Years!

Established in 1834, First Baptist Church has been faithfully proclaiming God’s Word, equipping the saints of God, and exalting Jesus Christ in Abbeville and the surrounding communities. On Sunday, May 17, 2009 the First Baptist church family is going to celebrate 175 years of building up the body of Christ in Henry County, AL. Everyone is invited, especially if you have ever attended FBC in the past.

We will begin with our morning worship celebration at 10:45 a.m. During this time we will have times of remembrance, special music, and a presentation to the church body from the Alabama Baptist Historical Commission.

We will follow the morning service with lunch in our Family Life Building. Meat will be provided, while church members are asked to bring side dishes and desserts.

We hope you will come and celebrate with us!

fbc-abbeville disciple now 2009

Disciple Now 2009 at FBC-Abbeville was wonderful! We had a great time that created some memories we will never forget! We had one student pray to receive Christ and will be baptized soon. To view the pictures from our weekend, view the Emmaus Student Ministry Photo Gallery.

This year another fun addition was our rules video featuring our own official D-Now Linebacker, also known as Tim Mathis, and the defunct informercial salesman, Leslie Armstrong (a.k.a. Van Ward). Here it is for your viewing pleasure.
